Advanced Ads – Selling Ads

The Advanced Ads – Selling Ads add-on allows you to automate the process of selling ad space directly on your WordPress website. Instead of manually negotiating with advertisers and placing their banners, this extension integrates with WooCommerce to create a storefront where advertisers can purchase ad products.

How the add-on works

The process is designed to be self-service for your advertisers while giving you, the site owner, complete control. 

1. Define ad products: Using the WooCommerce integration, you create "ad products" for the different ad spots on your website. When setting up a product, you can define specific placements and pricing models.
2. Choose a pricing model: You have three options for how to sell ad products:
   • Per day: Sell ad space for a set number of days.
   • Per impressions or clicks: Sell ads with a fixed limit on impressions or clicks. Note that this requires the Advanced Ads Tracking add-on.
   • Custom (flat fee): Create customized ad offerings with specific conditions or durations that you define.
3. Automated purchasing: Advertisers browse your "shop" on the front end and purchase the ad product they want, just like any other WooCommerce product.
4. Ad content submission: After purchasing, the advertiser receives an email with a link to a private page where they can upload their ad content (e.g., an image file or HTML code).
5. Admin review and approval: Once the advertiser submits their content, the ad status becomes "pending." You, as the administrator, receive a notification to review and approve the ad to ensure it meets your site's quality standards before it goes live.
6. Automatic placement: Upon your approval, Advanced Ads automatically injects the new ad into the correct placement on your website.
7. Advertiser access: The advertiser can access their purchase history and ad statistics (if the Tracking add-on is also installed) from their customer account.

• WooCommerce integration: This is the foundation of the add-on, so you must install and set up the free WooCommerce plugin on your site first.
• Diverse payment options: Because it uses WooCommerce, you can accept payments through any payment gateway supported by the platform, including PayPal, Stripe, and credit cards.
• Flexibility: You can use this add-on to sell ads for specific ad groups, placements, and even to offer different prices based on custom variables.
